Dr. Lisa Lowenstein:
Dr. Lowenstein was not born in Texas, but she “got here as fast as she could!” She graduated from Bellaire High School, received her BS in Wildlife Science from Texas A&M University, and is a 1989 graduate of Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Lowenstein joined the staff of Braescroft Animal Clinic in August, 2005, after years of practicing in the Houston area. Dr. Lowenstein has a special interest in exotic pet medicine such as birds, reptiles and pocket pets. Her philosophy is one of client education and participation, understanding that each family-pet bond is different, and striving to make sure that each pet’s individual needs are met. She is a member of the Harris County Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and the America Veterinary Medical Association. When she is not at the clinic, she is a wife, mother of three, volunteer in various groups, and caretaker of the family’s pets, which currently includes dogs, cats, turtles, guinea pigs, and hamsters.
